When Malaysian wireless carrier Maxis hosted an iPhone promotion event in Penang, some live entertainment was needed to spice things up. With the iPhone being the spotlight of the event, what better way to promote it by showing off some of its abilities?
Well that’s exactly what happen, when 4 guys grabbed some iPhones and turned them into instruments. The guys learned to play a couple of popular songs in about a week for the event, which ended up sounding pretty damn good.
After seeing this, your probably wondering what apps they used to accomplish this. The drums and piano are played with the “Band” app, the bass is played with Moo Cow’s “Bassist” app, and the guitar with the “PocketGuitar” app.
Call some friends over with an iPhone, download the applications, and start jamming! Who knows, maybe there will be an “iPhone Band” competition.

Dell has announced that they will be introducing a new removable storage device, the PowerVault RD1000. This small, yet incredibly efficient device can store data 10 times faster, and is only half the cost of equivalent tape storage.
The PowerVault RD1000 has both backup and restore functionality. With a simple plug-and-play USB connection, it allows the backup of more then one system, and can be used on the go.
